Iyengar Yoga Class Triangle

Your journey of truthॐ

Connecting: mind, body, spirit.

More than exercise, or "stretching"-- it's about creating a loving relationship with yourself. Using movement to create a deeper understanding of our sense of Self; feeling at home on your mat and at home in your body.

HELLO!

At Satya Yoga & Barre Studio our goal is to offer you a range of classes and services that will encourage self-care. Self-care is so much more than a spa day. Situated in downtown Troy, Ohio, we incorporate a variety of practices in movement, breath, and meditation. We know that there is not a one size fits all exercise, we are happy to help you find the right class for your needs. Are you ready to make a positive change in your lifestyle?

We are honored to be a part of your process. ॐ

-Special Update-

It is with great heartache to announce that the studio will be closing indefinitely at this time. I have given it an enormous amount of thought, prayer and meditation, but it is the right decision to make at this time. It is not because I don't love what I do or love spending time with you-- I am needing to create some extra space for my family at this time.
Many of you know that I also work full time in addition to being a mom. Like many of you, we wear a lot of hats and have to juggle many schedules, activities and life. We need to constantly evaluate what is working in our lives and if and where we need to make additional room, because we only have so much time and unfortunately can't do it all, all of the time.
I have come to love you all so much and appreciate each and every single one of you, I am so thankful for you all and cannot thank you enough for being a part of my journey and allowing me to be a part of yours.

Satya means truthfulness.

Satya is the second yama in Patanjali’s Ashtanga yoga path.

Satya is a restraint from falsehood or a commitment to truth. Being truthful is so much more than ‘not lying.’ Being truthful means being transparent, clear, open, and genuinely honest- to others and yourself.

If we live in a truly open and honest way with vulnerability and integrity, then we can understand and experience a greater truth around us. I chose the name Satya because I wanted to create a space for a journey of truth. Taking it a step further, it’s understanding what your truth is. It’s about taking the time to figure out what that means and looks like for you. It’s your journey, this is your truth.

At Satya Yoga & Barre Studio, my hope was that through movement, you would gain a deeper understanding of self. That you would feel at home on your mat, and at home in your body. Leading you to live in a more open and honest way and giving you some additional tools to navigate this thing called life.

Currently this is where my journey is leading. I love yoga and more than that I love sharing yoga. I absolutely love watching how your personal practice has grown and I cannot say enough how so thankful I am to be part of that.
I am certain that my journey will lead me back to the front of the class with my mat, as to when I can't say. So for now, I must take the time needed for my family, and for myself.

From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate your understanding, and so appreciate all the support, love, and friendship you have provided to me throughout the years.

For those of you that still have open session packages I will be refunding the remaining portion of your packages. I am not certain yet of an exact timeline when you will see the refund, I will do my best to take care of that as soon as possible and will be in communication with you individually to let you know of the status.

With light and love,
Kari ॐ
